Crystal Palace v Manchester Utd

20.00 - 14/12/16 - Selhurst Park, South London

Crystal Palace host Man United at Selhurst Park on Wednesday, and Jose Mourinho will be feeling a little more comfortable in his Manchester hotel home after a hard-fought win over Tottenham last time out. The
Eagles can justifiably feel hard done by after several key decisions did not go their way in the 3-3 draw they had with Hull at the weekend, but they may fancy their chances against an inconsistent Red Devils outfit.

Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace record against top-six sides is not pretty: Palace have gone W4-D4-L13 since he took over in January 2015, and only one of those four wins has come since the 2014/15 season. Perhaps more concerningly, eight of the 13 losses have come at home, and seven of the last eight home games have been losses (including four Loss/Loss double results). Man Utd have played six games under Mourinho against bottom-half teams and lost only once, but in the three of those that were against bottom-six teams, they failed to keep a clean sheet. Consequently, there is good reason to think that Palace will have opportunities to find the net at least once.

Palace have gone down a goal before the half in three of their last four home league games, and United have taken the lead in the first period in both of their last two away games in the league. With that in mind, we’re backing Man United/Man United in the Half Time/Full Time Market.
