Crotone v Lazio
15:00
Crotone’s remarkable run of five wins in seven unbeaten games was brought to an abrupt end as they went down 3-0 at the J-Stadium to hand Juve the title. As a result, Crotone remain in 18th but they’re just a point behind Empoli and it’s a straight fight between these two to avoid relegation on the final day. Crotone must better Empoli’s result to ensure their Serie A status for next season, though should Crotone draw and Empoli lose it would be Crotone that stay up by virtue of their superior goal difference in the head-to-head.
The formbook certainly gives Crotone a good chance as they beat Inter at home as part of their unbeaten run, whilst Lazio went down 3-1 at home to I Nerazzurri last time out after a 3-2 defeat at Fiorentina. Crotone have also managed a draw against AC Milan and a win over Udinese within their last three home games and so they’ll be hopeful of making it three wins from four unbeaten home matches, particularly as Lazio are guaranteed a Europa League spot and have little left to play for.
Both Lulic and exciting forward Balde saw red in the defeat against Inter following the disappointing 2-0 loss against Juve in the Coppa Italia final and so will be unavailable here and that should prove significant. Lazio have picked up just two points from the last five Lulic has failed to start, whilst Balde has eight goals in their last five league games. We think Crotone can pick up where they left off prior to the defeat against Juve and give themselves a great chance of staying in the division.
Recommendation: Crotone Win at 2.0
