Chelsea host Watford in their penultimate home game having secured the title at West Brom on Friday, and look to be in great form having won each of their last four, keeping a clean sheet in the last three. They had been 11 games without one, and this bodes well for them against a Watford side that have lost their last four without scoring.
Walter Mazzarri’s team have been particularly poor on their travels, losing 11 of their last 13 including each of the last six, during which time they failed to find the net. They’ve not made the top sides work much, where aside from a win over an out of sorts Arsenal they’ve lost the remaining four trips to top-six opposition this term, trailing at the break in each of these. Each defeat was by a margin of at least two goals, going down 4-0 to Spurs and 6-1 to Liverpool.
Chelsea have won all five of their games hosting bottom-seven teams, leading at the break in four and only conceding the single goal. Furthermore, they found the back of the net at least three times in four of these five games, and we’re expecting another easy win here with the Hornets clearly on holiday mode. Whilst we wouldn’t put anyone off the Chelsea/Chelsea HT FT at 1.75, there’s more value to be found backing a home win to nil in what will be a party like atmosphere at the Bridge.
