Celtic v Aberdeen
15:00
Whilst Celtic have dominated the Scottish Premiership in recent years, winning the title in the last six seasons, they’ve managed to win only one Scottish Cup in that time and that was back in 2012/13. They have an opportunity to put that right here and in fact secure a domestic treble after they won the League Cup against Aberdeen themselves back in November of last year. That was one of five defeats Aberdeen have suffered against Celtic this term, as they also finished runners-up to them in the league and will be keen to finally get the better of Brendan Rodgers’s men at Hampden Park.
The last time these two met in this competition Aberdeen in fact came out on top, winning 2-1 at Celtic Park in the 5th round of the 2013/14 season. However, they’re generally struggled against the top sides this term, going W2-D0-L6 against Celtic and Rangers in the league, though they did manage to score in five of these games and we fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet here.
Celtic won seven of eight unbeaten games against Aberdeen and Rangers in the league but they kept only two clean sheets across these and have also shut out their opponents in only two of their last eight in the league. What’s more, the Scottish Cup final is generally a fixture that produces goals, with six of the last seven seeing at least three strikes and both teams scoring in three of the last five. We’re backing Celtic to win and both teams to score.
Celtic Win and Both Teams to Score at 3.0
