Cagliari v Juventus
15:00
Cagliari were beaten 2-0 at Atalanta and so they stay in 15th with just two wins in nine, but they’re 13 points clear of the relegation zone on their return to the top division. Juve were 2-0 winners at Crotone, their fourth win without conceding on the bounce, and so their lead at the top is now seven points.
Cagliari have been impressive at home this term, winning seven times (W7-D2-L2) but while they held Roma to a 2-2 draw in their opening home game of the season, they were thumped 5-0 by Napoli the last time one of the big boys came to town. Their centre-back Ceppitelli is suspended and they’ve conceded 12 goals in the four games he’s missed this term, despite the fact that three of those were at home, while they were also behind at the break in each of these. With doubts over a number of other players, this could be a fairly routine victory for the league leaders.
Juve have won without conceding in three of their four trips to bottom-six sides this term, though they’ve only led at the break once on their travels to date. As such, we’re going to avoid the Win/Win double, but given Ceppitelli’s absence we expect the likes of Higuain and Dybala to have plenty of joy, so we’re backing Juve to cover the -2 handicap.
