Borussia Dortmund v Monaco
15:00
Dortmund were thumped 4-1 by Bayern at the Allianz Arena on the weekend as they continue to struggle on the road, though they’ve been imperious at home as they remain unbeaten at the Westfalenstadion in the Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB Pokal this term, winning their last five there. Monaco have continued their good form since knocking Man City out, winning both their league games to maintain their three point lead over PSG.
Dortmund are W14-D2-L3 at home in the Champions League since 2012/13 in games that have tended to produce goals as 12 of these saw more than two strikes, whilst seven had more than three. Indeed, they’ve already had an 8-4 win over Legia Warsaw and a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid in the group stages and if Monaco are as adventurous as they were at the Etihad when they went down 5-3, we could see plenty of goals in this one.
Monaco are just W3-D2-L4 away in the Champions League since 2014/15, conceding 10 goals in their four away games this term. As a result Over 3.5 Goals is as short as 2.15 here, though that nonetheless looks a backable price given the attacking nature and defensive vulnerability of both these sides. Monaco are unbeaten in their last 11 on the road in the league, winning seven, including a victory at Marseille and a draw at PSG. Given the likes of Reus, Gotze and Schurrle are likely to be out once again, Tuchel’s men look too short at 1.65, so we’re going to take them on.
Over 3.5 Goals at 2.15 Monaco or Draw Double Chance at 2.25
