Both these sides have had disappointing seasons as Leverkusen are only 11th having picked up only one point from their last four, whilst Wolfsburg are just two points behind them in 15th, though they have won their last two to ease any relegation fears. However, with Hamburg just two points behind them they certainly can’t relax at this stage.
Leverkusen are W5-D3-L5 at home this term and their inconsistency is exemplified by the fact that they’ve beaten a team like Dortmund but lost against lowly Ingolstadt. Both teams have scored in seven of their last nine at the BayArena, whilst they’ve kept just two clean sheets in their last 19 at all venues and so we’re looking to take them on at 1.83, particularly as they’ve won only two of their last eight at home.
Wolfsburg won their last road game at Leipzig, who currently sit 2nd in the table, whilst their only defeats in their last eight away came at top-six sides Bayern, Koln and Dortmund. They’ve conceded more than once in only one of their last five on the road and as a result they should prove more than competitive. We’re backing them to pick up at least a point on the Double Chance.
