Atletico Madrid v Celta Vigo
15:00
Atletico Madrid look to be back to their old selves as their 2-0 win over Leganes was the fifth time they’ve kept a clean sheets in their last six games. The gap to Sevilla in 3rd is now just four points and while Barca and Real look to be beyond their reach, Simeone will hope his side can surpass Sevilla. Celta’s game with Real was postponed due to severe storms but they’re in decent form with three wins in their last four and are just five points in Villarreal in 6th, with that game in hand.
Atletico have won seven of their 10 home games this term, with their sole defeat against Real, who are one of only two top-half teams they’ve hosted to date as they drew the other 0-0 with Espanyol. Last season they were W4-D2-L0 against teams between 4th and 9th as they conceded only one goal in these games.
Celta’s win at Leganes was only their second on the road this term and they lost five of their trips to last season’s top-six, whilst they’ve lost and failed to score at Sociedad, Eibar and Villarreal this term. Indeed, Celta have lost and failed to score in all three of their meetings with Atletico since the start of last season, so we’re backing Atleti to win to nil.
Atletico Madrid Win to Nil at 2.05
