Arsenal v Bayern Munich
15:00
After their 5-1 humiliation in the first leg, all that’s left for Arsenal here is to salvage some much-needed pride, especially after they were also beaten at Anfield on the weekend. They face a massive challenge though, as Bayern have won their last two Bundesliga games by an aggregate of 11-0.
While the Gunners continue struggle with big away days, picking up only one point from four trips to top-seven sides in the Premier League, they’ve lost only two of their last 17 at the Emirates in all competitions and won six of their last eight there. History is also on their side here as teams that have lost the first away leg of a Champions League knockout tie by more than two goals since 2011/12 have won five of the six return legs. What’s more, the Gunners have shown they can bounce back after first leg defeats in recent times as they’ve beaten Milan 3-0, and both Bayern and Monaco 2-0 after defeats in the first leg.
Bayern lost at both Atletico and Rostov in the group stages, whilst they were beaten by Dortmund in their only trip to a top-four Bundesliga side to date. The Bavarians have in fact lost seven of their last 13 Champions League away games and are winless in their last eight away knockout games, so we’re siding with Arsenal Draw No Bet.
