Tottenham v Man United Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ Big Match Preview

Man United‘s last game against Yeovil was dominated by Alexis Sanchez making his first start for the club, and while he didn’t get on the scoresheet, could it be written for the former Arsenal man to hit the net against his old rivals Spurs?

Jose Mourinho’s men travel to Wembley on Wednesday night with a 100 per cent record in 2018, and their defence is yet to have been breached this year, too.

They made light work of Yeovil in the FA Cup, while Spurs couldn’t do the same to another League Two side, Newport, only managing a 1-1 draw.

Tottenham have also had an unbeaten start to the year but not quite so impressively as United, with League draws at home to West Ham and away at Southampton slowing their chase for a top four place down slightly.

Team News

Hugo Lloris and Christian Eriksen could return after missing the last two games. They joined in with a first team recovery training session with Danny Rose, Erik Lamela and Toby Alderweireld this week.

Serge Aurier and Harry Winks are both expected to miss out through injury.

United have no new injury concerns so everyone is available apart from long-term absentees Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, giving Mourinho somewhat of a positive selection headache.

Betting Focus

In recent years, Spurs have tended to get the better of United at home, and vice-versa, but Tottenham haven’t quite been the force they were at White Hart Lane while playing at Wembley so it might not be that simple.

With close to a fully fit squad and the boost of signing Sanchez, I’m siding with United to do the business on Wednesday in the Draw No Bet market at odds-against.

But I’ll be making an additional insurance bet on Draw at HT, Draw at FT priced at 9/2.

Harry Kane is understandably the hot favourite to net first against United, and I wouldn’t hesitate in backing him no matter who Spurs were playing.

But the one price which stood out to me the most was Sanchez at a huge 13/2. I’m taking that each-way with Bet365 with unlimited places for a third of the price. Good luck!
