The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System: Post-Weekend Review [Week 37]

Hello all,

It wasn’t to be this weekend on the accas but we landed a 5.5pts from a FGS bet and 1.35pts from the each-way FGS double.

Aleksandar Mitrovic left it late but he netted first at 9/2 for Fulham, giving us a decent return from 1pt, and while Jamie Vardy couldn’t grab the first goal in Leicester‘s home defeat, he did manage to score so our 0.25pts each-way bet paid out 1.35pts.

Talking of Leicester, the Foxes were the one team to let us down in the Win 5fold. They couldn’t even draw at home to Newcastle to land us the bet, losing 2-1, which was really disappointing.

Just one of the teams in the Lucas landed with two others winning but not conceding, and Charlton could only muster a 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers.

The Manchester derby was the game of the weekend – a quite incredible comeback from a Paul Pogba-inspired Man United to put Man City‘s title win celebrations on ice.

I fancied United to spoil City’s plans but went for the draw rather than them winning.

A punt on them at half-time, when the Red Devils were 2-0 down, would’ve been a beauty – they were 150/1 to win with some bookies during the break.

City have been involved in two great games of late and both of which they lost, starting with last Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat at Liverpool in the Champions League.

They still have a slim chance of progressing to the semi-finals by overturning that huge deficit on Tuesday at the Etihad, but it looks unlikely.

More of that in the Champions League post coming soon.
