After an excellent home win over Juve, Inter have since struggled as they’ve managed just one win in their last five in all competitions and were beaten 3-1 at Sparta Prague. Indeed, they’re yet to pick up a point in this competition as they also lost 2-0 at home to Hapoel Be’er Sheva on matchday one, with De Boer opting to use a rotated side on Thursday nights. Claude Puel’s generally picked pretty strong teams and picked up four points, whilst Saints are in excellent form as they’ve won five of their last seven in all competitions whilst conceding just one goal.
Inter win over Juve was their only victory in their last four at home in the league as they’re still searching for their first clean sheet at the San Siro this term. With this weakened side in the Europa League, they certainly look there for the taking, as Hapoel proved. The likes of Icardi, Banega, Perisic didn’t start in that game and it’s likely to be a similar story here.
Since Southampton are in excellent form, we’re going to take a chance on Claude Puel’s men and are backing them Draw No Bet. They’ve managed some decent results when travelling to the top Premier League sides in recent times, winning at Spurs, Chelsea and Utd last term and also drawing at Liverpool and Arsenal and a similar level of form should give them an excellent chance against a second-string Inter side.
