Football Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System [Week 23]

Hello all and merry bit in between Christmas and new year where people don’t know what date, day or time it is!

We were unlucky on Boxing Day, missing out on an 11.25pts win (8/1) due to Wigan drawing 0-0 at home to Shrewsbury rather than getting that all important one goal.

And we were also a Newport goal away from landing the 8/1 BTTS acca, and just Man United let us down for the 11/2 Win 5fold, but it would’ve returned at slightly less than that because Exeter’s game was postponed.

So that was three out of the four bets we had which missed out by just the one goal each – fairly typical of the season so far, sadly.

Anyhow, there are plenty of games to get our teeth stuck into on Saturday – that’s December 30th for those confused by the days during this festive week – so hopefully we can have a bit more luck then.

After a few near misses in the last few betting weeks I’m keeping it simple with just the three markets for Saturday.

In the Win 5fold, Chelsea should defeat Stoke at home, while I fancy Sheffield United and Portsmouth to see off Bolton and Northampton on their own patches in the Championship and League One.

Then in League Two, Exeter should beat struggling Barnet, and high-flying Lincoln can outfox Forest Green.

I’ve headed over to Scotland and Italy for two of the BTTS Acca legs because I only like the look of two games in the top four English divisions to be raining goals.

Having said that, I’m hoping Liverpool, Leeds, Derby and Blackburn’s opposition can all grab consolations in their huge romps to victory to land the 270/1 Lucas Joao.

I hope you have all enjoyed the festivities – my Boxing Day went slightly stale when I headed to Brentford to watch Villa and we put in yet another dismal display.

I cannot see that changing at Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough this weekend.
