Despite being thoroughly outplayed in the first leg, Leicester somehow managed to come away with only a 2-1 defeat. Since then Claudio Ranieri has been sacked and there has been a marked improvement in their performances as they won 3-1 at home to both Liverpool and Hull. Sevilla, on the other hand, have been held to draws in their last two at Deportivo and at home to Leganes, so the Foxes will fancy their chances of overturning the deficit here.
Leicester won all three of their home games in the group stages and while none of the sides they beat are of Sevilla’s calibre, home wins over the likes of Man City and Liverpool in the league suggests they have a fair chance here. What’s more, teams that have lost the first away leg of a Champions League knockout tie 2-1 are W6-D1-L3 in return legs since 2009/10, giving Leicester a decent crack at qualifying. Three of the 10 qualified for the quarters.
Sevilla are just W1-D2-L3 in Champions League away games since the start of last season, whilst they managed only one goal on their travels in the group stages this term. They famously failed to win away in La Liga last season, whilst they’ve also had a couple of poor results on their travels this time around, losing at Granada and only drawing at Gijon, both of whom are currently in the bottom-three, whilst they’ve also lost at Bilbao and Espanyol. With that in mind, we’re siding with Leicester Draw No Bet.
