AC Milan v Chievo
15:00
A debatable penalty and another impressive performance from wonder-kid goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma ensured AC Milan left Sassuolo with all three points. Three wins from their last four puts them just three points off the European spots but none of these victories have been particularly convincing and with some long-term absentees in the midfield, plus doubts over a couple of regular defenders, they may not have it all their own way against a Chievo side enjoying a productive season.
10 wins after 26 rounds is the best return for the Chievo since 2010, while on the road they’ve enjoyed success in their last two outings. One of those was at Lazio, but traditionally they’ve struggled when travelling to the division’s stronger sides. Prior to that success in the Stadio Olimpico they’d lost 11 consecutive trips to top-half sides.
Despite this poor record for Chievo, we can’t be backing an unreliable Milan side at 1.65. Instead we suggest both teams to score at around 1.95. AC have kept just four clean sheets in their last 15 in the league, whilst this season Chievo have netted in 11 of their 14 meetings with top-half sides this season, including recent trips to Lazio, Inter and Roma.
Recommendation: BTTS Yes at 1.95
