PSG v Barcelona Betting Tips

Both these sides won their respective leagues last term but they’re not having things their own way this time around as PSG trail Monaco by three points while Barca are a point off Real, despite having played two more games. These two have clashed twice in the knockout stages since 2012/13 whilst they were also in the same group in 2014/15 and it’s usually a good watch when they meet as five of the six saw both teams net, though PSG have only got the better of the Catalans once.

Having struggled in the early part of the season under Unai Emery, the Parisians look to be finding their feet now as they’ve won six of seven unbeaten league games and are yet to be beaten at the Parc des Princes. Indeed, they’ve lost just one of 23 Champions League home games since 2012/13, with that defeat coming against Barca in their victorious 2014/15 campaign.

Luis Enrique’s men warmed up for this one by winning 6-0 at Alaves but they have looked vulnerable on their travels in the league as they only managed draws at Betis, Villarreal and Sociedad, while they were beaten at Celta Vigo. They also lost at City in the group stages and had to come from behind to beat Gladbach 2-1. They’ve in fact won just four of their last nine away in the Champions League since they beat PSG and so they look too short at 2.15, particularly given their host’s imperious home record .The current Barca crop looks some way off the side that won this fixture in 2014/15 and so we’re siding with PSG.
