Arsenal v Hull City Betting Tips

It was the same old story for Arsenal on Saturday as they crumbled in the face of consistent Chelsea pressure, and they now need to overcome a very determined Hull side at home if they wish to guarantee staying in the top four this weekend. Hull continued their resurgent run by beating Liverpool (who are vying with Arsenal for fourth place) at home, and a point or more here could see them move out of the drop zone.

The main problem for Marco Silva’s men is that they are so far a weak side away. They did hold Man Utd to a draw at Old Trafford recently, but they’ve lost by two or more goals in three of five trips to top-six sides, and their draw against Man Utd snapped a run of nine straight losses – it would be a surprise to see them repeat their victory over Liverpool on their travels. Arsenal have been strong at home against bottom-half sides of late, winning five of their last six games. Two consecutive losses shouldn’t hurt them too much if history is anything to go by: they’ve won seven of the last nine they’ve played at home after back-to-back losses.

While we aren’t totally confident in Arsenal bouncing back from recent poor form, we’ve noticed that they’ve drawn the first half in five of the last seven games immediately after back-to-back losses, and in six of the last 10 at home against bottom-six sides. The Half-Time Draw looks like a good option here.
