Eibar v Barcelona
15:00
Eibar picked up their first win in five as they won 3-2 at Gijon to climb back up to 9th as they continue to impress in what’s only their third top-flight campaign. Barca, meanwhile, thumped Las Palmas 5-0 at the Nou Camp and with Real losing at Sevilla, they now trail their Clasico rivals by just two points, though Zidane’s men do have a game in hand.
Eibar have won five of their nine home games, with their only defeats coming somewhat surprisingly against Osasuna and more understandably against Atletico in their last game at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium. They’ve managed wins over Villarreal and Sociedad and a draw with Sevilla, but they tend to struggle when the ‘Big Three’ come to town as they’ve lost four such fixtures by more than one goal since the start of last term, failing to score in each of these defeats, including a 0-4 loss against Barca.
Barca have drawn two of their last three on the road, but those have been against top-six teams and they’ve won their trips to sides outside the top-eight fairly comfortably. Indeed, since seven of their last 10 away wins have been without conceding, while Eibar have failed to score in their last two at home and tend to struggle to find the net when hosting the top teams, we’re backing Barca to win to nil.
