Udinese v Inter Milan
15:00
Having won just four of their first 14 games of the season, Udinese managed three wins in four at the end of 2016 to surge up the table to 10th. Inter also showed improved form after a poor start as they won their last three without conceding, with the results immediately improving under new manager Stefano Piolo. Those victories saw Inter move up to 7th, having been languishing down in 13th after 11 games.
Udinese have won four of their nine home games so far, but each of those victories have come against teams currently in the bottom-five and they’ve picked up just two points from their other five home matches. Indeed, their record when hosting teams between 3rd and 10th is just W1-D5-L6 since the start of last season, including a 0-4 defeat against Inter themselves.
Inter have in fact won their last three visits to Udinese and while their win at Sassuolo ended a run of five winless road games, we expect them to pick up the three points here. They travelled to four of the current top-six during that barren stretch but face a slightly easier test here. Since eight of Inter’s last nine away wins were without conceding, we’re going to back them to win to nil.
