Sunderland vs West Brom

3pm – 1.10.16 – Stadium of Light

S’land  2.35 3.20 3.20 W Brom

Sunderland sit at the foot of the table without a win in six after they squandered a two-goal lead to go down 2-3 to Palace. The Black Cats led at the break – for the first time this season – and then doubled their advantage with just 30 minutes left only to concede three times before the final whistle, meaning they’ve now lost the second half in their last three outings.

As Stoke found out last weekend, West Brom can be a tough nut to crack away from home. They’ve conceded just twice on the road this season with all three fixtures being goalless at half-time. The Baggies have avoided defeat in 20 of their 31 away games under Tony Pulis with six of the losses coming at the hands of top-six sides. Against a struggling Sunderland side they have a good chance of nicking all three points and look good value on the draw no bet.

Pulis is likely to set his team up to contain at first and then use Rondon and Chadli’s quality up front to snatch a winner. With this in mind we’ll have a speculative wager on the Draw/West Brom half-time/full-time as five of WBA’s six matches this season have been level at the break, while half of Sunderland’s 10 defeats at the Stadium of Light since the start of last season have come after being level at the break.
