Sevilla made it seven wins from their last nine league games as they eased to a 2-0 victory over Eibar to remain in 3rd. Leicester, on the other hand, continue to struggle as they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Millwall and have lost and failed to score in their last five in the league to leave themselves down in 17th, just a point from the relegation zone.
Sevilla have won 14 of their 17 European home games since 2014/15 and whilst the majority of these were in the Europa League, they’ve also been excellent in the league, winning nine of their 11 home games this term. They’ve won 13 of their last 14 at home in Europe against sides ranked below them (we have Sevilla 10th in Europe and Leicester 56th), keeping a clean in nine of these and with five of their last eight victories by more than two goals, including four 3-0’s.
Leicester were thumped 5-0 at Porto in their final group game, admittedly with a rotated side, but they’ve been poor on the road all season, picking up just three points from their 13 away league games. They’ve failed to score in four of their last five away in all competitions and so we’re backing Sevilla to win to nil, with the 3-0 correct score of interest at 8.5.
