Roma bounced back from their disappointing 3-1 defeat in the Rome derby as they won 4-1 at Milan to move back up to 2nd, though they only lead Napoli by a single point. Despite being held to draws in their last two, Juve are seemingly out of reach for them as Max Allegri’s side are seven points clear at the top, though a home win here could create some pressure for the final two games of the season.
Roma won their opening 12 home games but they’ve managed only two wins in their last five on their own turf and it comes as little surprise that the three instances of them dropping points came in their only home games against top-five sides to date as they lost against Napoli and Lazio and had to come from behind for a 1-1 draw with Atalanta. They caught Juve cold in this fixture last term as it came in only the second week of the season but we think the Old Lady can exact revenge here.
Juve are unbeaten in their last eight on the road and have been unable to hold on to leads in their last two trips to top-six sides, having to settle for a draw at both Atalanta and Napoli. However, since Roma have failed to score more than once in any of their three home games against top-five sides and are without a clean sheet in four, Juve should be able to make them pay. The league leaders look a big price at 2.75.
