Luxembourg sit bottom of Group A having managed only one point from their four games so far, whilst France top the group with 10 points and have a comfortable three point lead over the Netherlands, having already beaten them in Amsterdam.
Luxembourg have lost eight of nine winless games and they’ve also lost their last six at home whilst scoring only two goals. Indeed, they’ve scored just two goals in their last 13 home games against sides we have ranked in the world’s top-15, losing all of these matches, and so it’s hard to make a case for them avoiding defeat or even netting here.
France have kept clean sheets in five of their last eight, though they’ve won only one of their last 25 away matches by more than two goals, a 3-0 win in Armenia. However, none of the sides they’ve travelled to in that time are ranked as low as Luxembourg, whom we have 155th in the world, and as a result we’re backing a repeat of that result, whilst we wouldn’t put anyone backing Deschamps’ men to cover the -2 handicap.
