Borussia M'gladbach v Borussia Dortmund
Monchengladbach failed to follow up impressive victories at home to Hertha and at Koln as they went down 5-3 in a thriller at Hoffenheim, meaning they’ve dropped back down to 9th. Dortmund, meanwhile, bounced back from their 4-1 defeat at Bayern with a comfy 3-1 home win over Frankfurt and so they remain in 4th, a point behind Hoffenheim.
Gladbach have struggled to get any real momentum going all season, following their last three home wins with defeats, though two of these were at the hands of the current top-two, who are some way clear of the rest of the division. They’ve picked up seven points from their three home games against teams between 3rd and 6th, winning the last two of these without conceding, and so they look a big price at 3.5 against a Dortmund side that has struggled on its travels.
Tuchel’s men have won just four away games all season and only twice in their last 10 on the road, so we’re certainly looking to take them on, especially after their fruitless midweek trip to Monaco. They’ve kept only one away clean sheet all season and are just W2-D3-L5 on the road if we exclude teams currently in the bottom-six. They have however netted in their last 12 road games and so we’re going to take a chance on Monchengladbach to win and both teams to score.
