After a string of impressive results that took them to seventh in the table, Watford were rather humbled at Anfield, but Walter Mazzarri must re-focus his side as they welcome the Champions to Welford Road. Watford opened up with consecutive home defeats at the hands of Chelsea and Arsenal but have since been unbeaten (W2-D1) and prior to their trip to Liverpool they had kept three successive clean sheets.
Leicester’s poor defence of their title continued with a 2-1 defeat to West Brom and most worrying for Foxes fans, the defeat came at home where their impressive record at the King Power had made up for their poor start to the season on the road. They’ve lost four of five winless away matches and they’ve been behind at half-time in all of these. Although they’ve travelled to four of the current top-six, the manner of their defeats that’s been most concerning with their only credible performance coming at a Spurs side that was, and still is, struggling for goals.
Leicester have failed to click this season with their two main protagonists from last term, Marhez and Vardy, failing to hit the lofty heights that saw them crowned Champions. In their defeat against the Baggies they managed just two shots on target and given their away form to date, they look worth taking on.
