Stoke vs Sunderland

3pm – 15.10.16

Both these sides will be desperate for three points here as they remain the only two clubs without a win this season. Thanks to some lax first-half finishing from United, Stoke were able to snatch a valuable point from Old Trafford. It was their second 1-1 draw in a row as the Potters have somewhat steadied the ship having conceded 13 from their previous four.

A point from their first three away games is about as good as Sunderland could have hoped for when travelling to Man City, Southampton and Spurs. David Moyes set his team up defensively for each of these encounters and as a result just one goal was scored in the first-half, a Sergio Aguero penalty.

Stoke themselves have yet to be on target in the opening 45 minutes this term and their struggles in front of goal have been typified by an out of sorts Wilfred Bony. Given the current situation these two sides find themselves in we would be surprised to see either manager come out on the offence. Instead it has all the elements of a cagey opening half.

Best Bet: HT Score 0-0 at 2.70
